According to many people, going to a college is one of the most unforgettable memories in their entire life. College is the place where you meet new friends, you have the freedom to go wherever you like without being “supervised” by your parents. You successfully balance between studying and going out with your new friends and all that seems like a dream came true. However, things do not seem too bright if you live in a dorm. Speaking of the hygiene in particular, dorms are not the best places to live if you are obsessed with maintaining a high level of hygiene. After all you live with many other people who might not be too concerned about cleanliness. And here comes the question, which is the most suitable place to keep your toiletries?

• Even if you thoroughly sanitize the bathroom when you move into the dorm, you will soon find out that it looks as if it has never been cleaned. The floor is dirty as well as the tiles and the sink. There are toothbrushes, soaps, towels scattered all around the place. Therefore, keeping your toiletries in the bathroom is not the best choice you can make.

• What about your own room? That seems the better alternative. You can put all your toiletries in one place and carry the stuff you need when you have to use the bathroom.     

• Here comes the question about the cleanliness of your room. You might not be allowed to book carpet cleaning services or hire a domestic cleaner, so you have to take care of the cleaning     tasks on your own. Keeping your room well-sanitized is the best thing you can make.

• When it is time to leave, some students abandon their rooms in a terrible condition. So, if possible, you are advised to visit your room a few weeks in advance and check if a thorough end of tenancy cleaning is necessary to be done before you move in.

College years are a wonderful time but along with the entertaining aspect, you should not underestimate the importance of cleanliness and of course, good grades.
